SQL Saturday #852
11th of May 2019 – Microsoft Finland HQ, Helsinki, Finland
During this SQL Saturday I will present my session on Storytelling & Interactive reporting with Power BI bookmarks and drillthrough. During this session I well tell more about the principles of storytelling. Beside of that, this session will be covered with lots of Power BI demos. During these demos I will give examples of functionality within Power BI which can be used to create your own story in Power BI. I will not only show the end result, but also how to create a report or dashboard like that to tell your own story!

8th of May 2019 – Macaw Hoofddorp, Netherlands
During this Dutch Power BI usergroup meetup, my colleague, Dave Ruijter, and I will present our session Power BI Cheat Sheet explained. Dave and I will kick-off this meetup with our session. Afterwards Alberto Ferrari will present about Aggregations in Power BI to finish this meetup with an expert session.

During this SQL Saturday meetup my colleague, Dave Ruijter, and I will present our session Power BI Cheat Sheet explained! In this demo-rich session, we will discuss the Power BI Cheat Sheet that went viral on social media. The sheet is crammed with Power BI tips and best practices based on years of experience, but with little to no room for comments. No worries! We will describe, demonstrate and discuss all the items! And of course, there will be a Cheat Sheet for everyone attending!

At this event I presented a half day workshop on Power BI for the Enterprise. During this workshop I have covered several topics like:

– Use parameters to add extra flexibility to your Power BI content
– Enterprise and multi-tier deployment of Power BI content with Azure DevOps
– End-to-end monitoring for a successful Power BI implementation

Power BI Gebruikersdag

Every year the Dutch Power BI Usergroup organizes a Power BI Saturday. A day full of sessions delivered by the community but also well-known speakers. At this event I will present my session about: “Use parameters to add extra flexibility to your Power BI content.” A session covered with examples and where you can use parameters in Power BI and which advantages this will have for you.

Techionista Academy wants to empower women in tech. During their academy they bring women up to speed with the latest Microsoft technology to become a data scientist. Part of their program is analyzing and visualizing data with Power BI. I presented at their lunch & learn session about Storytelling & Interactive reporting in Power BI.

Organizing the event around Artificial Intelligence and data driven organisations. This event is also part of the Farewell Tour of the Dutch Data Dude. This event was mainly focused to inspire Dutch companies what AI and data can add to their business.
